Bermuda's answer to the Times Square ball drop — in the island's UNESCO World Heritage town. The Corporation of St. George rings in the New Year in King's Square with live music, local entertainment, food stalls and family fun, culminating in the lowering of a giant illuminated Bermuda onion at midnight — a nod to the island's farming heritage and its old nickname, "Onion Patch." Free and open to all; festivities run from the evening through to around 1:30am. A uniquely Bermudian way to welcome 2027.
